Coppelia's acts draw uopn her training in classical ballet, fire-eating and torture and aerial hoop. Coppelia has recently been named as 'Tipped for the Top' by the international publication Burlesque Bible. She has added the titles of Miss Burlesque QLD 2011, Miss Pin-Up MBA 2011 and People's Choice StarRae Miss Burlesque 2009 to her credentials, which also include high profile performances in the Australian Burlesque Festival, Gangsters Ball, Brisbane Festival and a national tour with the Cannonball.
What made you want to enter Miss Burlesque Australia 2013?
I decided to enter again this year as a challenge to myself. I have deemed 2013 as the year of dreaming big and going after those goals that I have only dreamt of achieving, and Miss Burlesque Australia fell into that category.
Do you feel your strength lies in Classic, Neo or Unique style?
Category wise, I have always felt more comfortable in the modern genres. However, I do have a very big soft spot for all three of my routines this year, so I am rather excited to showcase them.
Do you have a signature move?
I often use surrealist themes, golden age nostalgia and tongue in cheek debauchery.
